What types of crushed concrete do you stock?
We sell crushed materials for every kind of construction project. Our drivers collect concrete, limestone, granite, and aggregates. They take materials from demolition sites and quarries across North London.
Some of our products contain new materials, and others contain recycled materials. Contractors who need to meet eco-friendly quotas prefer recycled batches.
All our materials pass through a crusher. Contractors contact us for 20mm, 40mm, and 75mm hardcore materials.
MOT Type 1 near me
If you are searching for ‘MOT Type 1 near me’, you are in the right place.
We sell tons of Type 1 each week. It contains a combination of limestone and granite which come from quarries. They are primary building materials. Our team crush the pieces down to 40mm. Each batch contains materials that range from dust to 40mm.
MOT Type 1 has unbeatable load-bearing qualities. Even a thin layer of this product can hold motorways and patios.
Recycled Type 1 MOT
This product only contains recycled construction materials. Our drivers go to demolition sites and collect materials that would otherwise be thrown away. It is a sustainable alternative to regular Type 1.
Each batch contains 40mm pieces of crushed concrete, brick, granite, and limestone.
Recycled Type 1 MOT is installed the same way as regular Type 1. Builders place the materials, roll them, and wait for them to set. Once the sub base is set, builders can start creating formations.
MOT Type 2 Clean
MOT Type 2 materials contain limestone and granite. Our team collect the materials from quarries around North London. The materials pass through a crusher machine and a net. This extra process separates big pieces from small pieces. Only 40mm pieces remain.
This product is suitable for sub bases and drainage systems. Liquids can pass through it quickly, which means that it has a high flow rate.
6F5 and 6F2 Recycled Aggregates 75mm
This batch contains a combination of crushed aggregates. Aggregates include slag, sand, and stone. The materials come from demolition sites across North London. Unlike a lot of construction products, this product is sustainable.
Once our drivers have secured the materials they crush them down to 75mm. Each batch contains pieces that range from dust to 75mm.
Contractors choose 6F2 Recycled Aggregates when they need an affordable alternative to primary building materials. In most cases, contractors use this product for bulk-fill construction tasks.
Screened Crushed Concrete Type 1 40mm
Screened Type 1 comes from quarries in and around North London. Once our drivers have excavated the concrete, they put it in a concrete crusher. The pieces are then placed in a net that separates the big and small materials. This process is called screening.
40mm pieces of concrete floor screening are strong and long-lasting. It has excellent load-bearing qualities and can support pavements.
Screened Crushed Concrete 75mm
Likewise, the concrete in this product comes from quarries. The concrete goes through an extra manufacturing process called screening. It separates all the fine pieces of dust and smaller chunks from the 75mm pieces.
We recommend 75mm concrete floor screening for large flooring tasks. Batches that contain bigger pieces are far more affordable.

What can I use crushed concrete for?
Contractors buy our crushed materials for lots of different construction projects. We specialise in crushed limestone, granite, concrete, and aggregates.
- Drainage systems – Lots of our customers buy MOT Type 2 to create drainage systems. We screen this product to remove all the fine pieces of dust. Liquids can move throughout the batch without dislodging anything.
- Sub bases – Crushed materials can be spread and rolled to create bases for building formations. Even bases that are as thin as 4 inches have excellent load-bearing qualities. Limestone and granite are primary construction materials and they create excellent bases.

Will crushed concrete compact?
It depends on how contractors use crushed concrete.
Some of our customers use concrete and MOT for drainage systems. Most of our customers buy crushed materials to create bases.
To create bases, builders have to lay and roll the materials. Once the base has set, builders can start creating formations on top. Anything from patios to motorways can sit on top of sub bases.
The weight of the formation makes the materials in the base compact. Bases will lose height when they compact. Some can lose so much height that they do not meet building regulations.
What does MOT stand for?
MOT stands for Ministry of Transport.
The Ministry of Transport used to regulate the transport networks in the UK. If batches of crushed materials are suitable for use in sub bases they have the acronym in the title.
Now, the Ministry of Transport has merged with the Department of Transport. Materials that meet the right criteria still have the acronym MOT in the title.
We sell MOT Type 1 and MOT Type 2. Both of these products are suitable for bases.
Does crushed concrete drain?
All crushed materials have a flow rate. They can either have a high flow rate or a low flow rate. If liquids can pass through a product quickly it has a high flow rate.
Sub bases might not need materials that have high flow rates, but drainage systems do. It is important to choose a product that does not have lots of small pieces. Otherwise, liquids will pass through the batch and dislodge materials.
We recommend MOT Type 2 for contractors who need to create drainage systems. This product undergoes a process called screening, which splits the big and small pieces of limestone and granite. Only 40mm pieces remain.
Will crushed concrete harden?
If crushed concrete is used in a sub base, it will harden. The same is true of any crushed material that we sell.
Sub bases consist of crushed materials that are rolled thin. A lot of strong sub bases are no more than 4 inches.
When builders roll the materials they will compact. The pieces of hardcore materials break, bond, and harden.
Is crushed concrete toxic?
Crushed materials can be harmful.
Concrete is dangerous when the particles are airborne. The particles become airborne when pieces of concrete break away from each other. Our drivers wear protective gear to stop them from inhaling the particles. If contractors and builders do not wear masks, they could experience lung issues in the future.
