Concrete is solid cell material. However, it still pours to a degree. MOT crushed concrete is made up of lots of small chunks of concrete, which forms differently from poured ready mix concrete. 

MOT Type 1 sub bases are not especially permeable, but they are not impermeable. This type of MOT contains a mixture of big and small particles. When the mixture is compressed to form a sub base, the small dust particles fill the gaps. The result is a very compact base.

It is much easier for water to travel through MOT Type 2 sub bases. Type 2 Clean does not contain particles. When Type 2 limestone or granite is compressed, there are small gaps throughout the materials. We recommend Type 2 for professionals who need bases that drain at a good flow rate.

Will crushed concrete harden?
