Developer questions
Can you hold rates for a whole development programme?
Yes. The brochure gives you the current rates for your site postcode, and we agree how long they hold when we speak. Where a programme runs across seasons we will tell you plainly what could move it, rather than promise a price we cannot keep.
Do you work to a phased programme?
That is most of our developer work. Groundworks and muckaway first, then concrete for foundations and slabs, then aggregates as the plots come up. We plan the week around your programme and keep the same yard team on your site.
What waste can you take off a new-build site?
Muckaway, soil and hardcore are our day-to-day loads. Everything is tipped through licensed facilities with paperwork provided. If your site has anything unusual, tell us before the first load and we will confirm what we can take.
How much notice do you need?
For planned phases, a few days lets us line the fleet up properly. We also handle short-notice calls when a dig runs ahead of programme, and we will be honest about what we can actually get to you the same day.
Are your prices per load or per day?
Grab hire is priced per load, concrete per cubic metre, aggregates per tonne, and digger hire is quoted for the plant and duration you need. The brochure sets out each basis so your QS can check it against a tender.
Do you deal with the site manager or the office?
Whichever you prefer. Most developers give us a site contact for daily bookings and an office contact for paperwork and invoicing. One phone number reaches the yard either way.
