2. What we collect

We only collect information you give us, or that is generated when you use the site:

• Quote and callback details - name, phone number, job postcode, service type, and any notes you send when you request an instant quote or a callback
• Contact details - name, email and message content when you email us or call the yard
• Order and account details - billing and delivery information needed to fulfil a booked job, plus payment records (card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers)
• Technical data - IP address, browser type and pages visited, if and when analytics or call-tracking tools are enabled on the site (see our Cookies page)

3. Why we use it

We use personal information to:

• Provide quotes, take bookings and deliver our services
• Call or message you back about a job you have enquired about
• Issue invoices, waste transfer notes and other job paperwork
• Respond to complaints or questions
• Meet legal and regulatory duties (for example Environment Agency waste-carrier records)
• Improve the website and understand how people find us, where analytics are in use

Our lawful bases are: contract (to quote and fulfil a job), legitimate interests (to run and improve the business, and to respond to enquiries), and legal obligation (where the law requires us to keep records).

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it where needed to run the job or the site:

• Payment processors, when you pay by card
• IT and hosting providers that keep the website and email running
• Regulators or insurers, where we are legally required to (for example waste-transfer documentation)
• Analytics or call-tracking providers, if those tools are switched on - listed on our Cookies page

Where a provider is outside the UK, we only use them with an appropriate transfer safeguard.

5. How long we keep it

Quote and callback enquiries that do not become a job are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Job, invoicing and waste-carrier records are kept for as long as UK tax and waste regulations require (typically 6 years). Phone call recordings, where we make them, are kept only as long as needed for training or dispute resolution.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal information, object to certain uses, or ask for a copy in a portable format.
